Zanpakuto battle 2

Description

This is the second zanpakuto battle in a series of many, in which I ask my watchers to vote in the comments on which they think would win.
the first was between Kuma and Kumorigachi [link]
Kumorigachi was the winner by a landslide.

This one is a bit unique.
You'll notice the similarities between these two zanpakuto right away.
That's because they belong to twin brothers, Tai and Kai The brothers themselves are identical. But upon closer inspection it is plainly obvious how different they really are. The way they carry themselves gives them a different vibe from eachother. That aspect is revealed in their zanpakuto as well.
Both zanpakuto have a large golden back that rests on the back of their blade and fits in with their sheathes for easy drawing, though this function only really benefits Kai's fighting style.

Watarimono (wanderer)
The special ability of this zanpakuto is called Obscura.
Obscura is a constant effect that is initiated upon the shikai release. This ability makes it very hard for anyone to focus on or target Tai. Even thinking about him is difficult to do without getting distracted. You also can't look directly at him without feeling an uncontrolable urge to look away. This seems ridiculous, but do you really think you could fight Tai, when the harder you tried to think about him or even look at him, the more confused and disoriented you became? The longer the battle, the more extreme the effects. Prolonged exposure to this ability can cause you to forget about Tai all together, and not even recognize him as a threat. In which case he would have no trouble casually strolling up to you and impaling you.
Tai has never been defeated.

Shouten (focus)
The ability of shouten is akin to the more serious nature of Kai. The fighting style used with this zanpakuto is similar to the art of Iaido, the fighting style that involves killing your foe with a draw cut. That means you clear your mind and in one fell swoop, draw your sword into a devastating slash and sheathe your sword before your enemy hits the ground. To perform his attack, Kai would sheathe his sword and get into position. The unsheathing speed is aided by the fact that his sword leaves the sheathe easier because the back half of the sheathe is attached to the sword. Kai drops into a meditative state, sometimes closing his eyes, and truly fights as one with his zanpakuto. Time seems to slow a little as he percieves things at an accelerated rate. He keeps his left hand on the sheathe and his right on his sword, while listening to his sword for the right moment. Even in this seemingly defenseless state, good luck hitting Kai. He dodges and retreats more deftly than he strikes. And most dodges are followed with a strike if the timing is right. When his enemy reveals a weak spot or an opening, Shouten rattles with excitement in it's sheathe. At that moment, Kai strikes with incredible speed, ending the battle in one blow.
Kai has never been defeated.

(being that they are twins, they know everything about each other. they are each others weakness)

Actually mate, it's battoujutsu that involves drawing, cutting and sheathing in a single move. Iaido is the unsheathing cut without resheathing. Just thought I'd rectify that for ya. :)
